The shop

Two chairs, both of them busy most Saturdays. Ridgeback has been on Marchmont Row since 2011: same barbers, same prices posted on the wall, same rule about getting you out on time.

The work

Scissor work, clipper work, skin fades and beards. If you've seen a cut you like, bring a picture in — it's the fastest way to get exactly what you want.

Before you come in

Do I need an appointment?
No. Both chairs take walk-ins every day we're open. Call ahead if you're on a tight schedule and we'll tell you the real wait.
How long is the wait?
Usually nothing midweek. Saturday morning and Friday after 4:00 can run twenty minutes or so. One phone call saves you the guess.
Do you take card?
Cash and card, both fine. No minimum, and no card surcharge.
Where do I park?
Street parking on the Row is free after 9:00. There's more space behind the launderette two doors down.
Do you cut children's hair?
Every day. Under 12s are $24, and there's a smaller chair for first-timers.
Can I ask for a specific barber?
Yes — just say who when you call. If they're busy we'll tell you when they're free rather than putting you in the other chair.
