Who we are

On The Map Web ("we," "us") builds websites for local small businesses in and around Houston, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us, how we use it, and — specifically — how we handle text messaging (SMS) consent and data.

Information we collect

When you reach out through our website, by phone, or by text, we may collect:

• Your name, phone number, and business type (from our contact form)
• The content of calls, texts, or emails you send us
• Basic details about your business we look up publicly (business name, listed phone number, service area) when preparing a free demo

How we use it

We use this information solely to:

• Build and show you a free demo website for your business
• Follow up by phone, text, or email about that demo and our services
• Deliver and support the website if you become a client

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for any purpose beyond the ones listed above.

Text messaging (SMS)

If we text you, it's because you gave us your number directly or we're following up on a call we already made to your publicly listed business number. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from On The Map Web related to your free demo and our services.

• Message frequency varies — typically a handful of messages during an initial outreach and follow-up period.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further text messages. Reply HELP for assistance.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including your phone number and any texting opt-in/consent data — with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information with service providers who help us operate our business (for example, our phone/texting provider or hosting provider), solely to deliver our services to you.

Cookies & analytics

This website does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If that changes, this policy will be updated to reflect it.

Your choices & your rights

You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to delete information we've collected about you, at any time by texting STOP, calling us, or emailing shane@onthemapweb.com.

Whatever state you live in, you can email us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and we'll honor the request. We don't sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.

How long we keep information

If you reach out and we don't end up working together, we delete your information within 12 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we're providing services to you, plus a short period afterward for tax and record-keeping purposes. We'll delete it sooner anytime you ask.

Children's privacy

Our services are for businesses. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Accessibility

Every site we build — including this one — is checked against WCAG accessibility standards before it ships, with zero known violations as our release bar. If anything on this site is hard for you to use, tell us and we'll fix it.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
